I use traditional craft processes of mosaic and glass to produce awkward pseudo-biological sculptures that resist precise representation. They are noisy amalgamations of diverse visual signifiers and references, imitating the non-hierarchical patterning found in AI visual generative models. By collaging disparate imagery into forms that are anatomically implausible and ontologically ambiguous, I mimic the loss of meaning and function inherent to artificial reformulations of unconsenting biological life. The laborious craft processes used to finally render these forms act to valorise the initial references by re-establishing their physicality. What begins as a series of decontextualised datapoints is manifested in a unique, painstakingly constructed, purely physical specimen.

I am also a co-director of MEZZANINE, an artist-run non-profit art space located in the Bermondsey Triangle. Established as a Community Interest Company in September 2024, MEZZANINE was founded to support artists through the provision of affordable studio, exhibition, and event spaces. With eight enclosed multi-occupant studios, a shared multipurpose workspace, a music studio, and gallery, we provide a much-needed space for artists to develop and showcase a diverse range of creative practices.
